Welcome to the website of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 137.
Local 137 represents the Operating Engineers in the counties of Westchester, Putnam and parts of Southern Dutchess. Operating Engineers operate and maintain heavy equipment such as cranes, loaders, backhoes, excavators, forklifts and bulldozers which help build the roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings and infrastructure that keep our great nation moving ahead.
Currently our members are working on the largest infrastructure project in New York State and one of the largest in the nation, that project being the New Tappan Zee Bridge. We are also manning the Shaft 6B portion of the DEP Water Tunnel Project with the Tunnel work to begin upon completion of Shaft 6B.
In addition, we intend for this website to be useful to our membership, contractors looking for our service and those wishing to learn more about our organization.
Please review each tab to learn more about Local 137 and if you have any questions, please contact our new web manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
